A little earth.
A little everyday.

Hand-built vessels and useful objects.
Made slowly, one at a time.

STUDIO COLLECTION — NO. 04STONEWARE / NATURAL GLAZES
The latest firing

Made to be held.

Nothing quite identical.
Everything made with intention.

01 / The everyday vesselChalk
A hand-built stoneware vessel with a soft chalk glaze and fine horizontal throwing lines. Approximately 18 cm tall. A place for cut branches, wooden spoons, or nothing at all.
02 / The long-neck bottleTerracotta
A sculptural bottle in warm iron-rich clay, left mostly unglazed to keep the surface honest. Approximately 25 cm tall. Made in a small edition of twelve.
03 / The pouring jugAsh
A generous, low jug with a hand-pulled handle and an earthy ash glaze. Approximately 16 cm tall. Designed to move easily from kitchen shelf to table.

Useful things can be
beautiful things.

I’m Clara. I work from a small studio in the Ojai Valley, making objects that ask to be picked up and put to use. My work is shaped by the landscape here: warm earth, pale stone, long light.
